Located in Tega Cay, SC, Tracy Plunkett, BCPA, is the owner of Care Navigation and Advocacy, LLC. Tracy started her company after serving as the primary caregiver for both parents who both experienced serious health issues. Through her role as caregiver, Tracy applied her extensive healthcare and medical insurance expertise to serve as an advocate ensuring that her parents received the best possible care. Tracy’s passion for helping others coupled with her in-depth knowledge of healthcare has enabled her to support and empower her clients as they navigate the complex medical system while advocating for family members and friends.
Tracy has over 21+ years of experience working for a major health insurance company. As a medical plan subject matter expert, Tracy implements benefit plans, giving direction on how they should be paid, as well as interpreting complex state and federal legislation that could impact her client’s ability to access care. Tracy has worked at Delta Dental Plan of Minnesota, implementing dental plans for Medtronics, Walmart, Northwest Airlines (bought by Delta Airlines) and other mid-size to large companies.
Tracy is member of the Alliance of Professional Health Advocates. She is a board member for the York County of Aging, an organization focused on keeping seniors living independently in their homes as long as possible. In addition, she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. She is passionate about providing support to help clients and their caregivers make critical decisions that will help to improve the quality of care and outcomes.
